Established in Italy under Italian law, the Violetta Caprotti Foundation cares deeply about disadvantaged children, animal welfare and safeguarding Italy\u2019s artistic and cultural heritage. The Foundation funds and takes part in charitable and educational projects inspired by these three core concerns.<\/p>\n

Leidaa Association<\/h2>\n

During the pandemic, Leidaa deployed a task force supporting people with Covid who were quarantined at home or in hospital and were unable to look after their pets. Many volunteers got involved, <\/span>preventing the animals from being abandoned and placing them with new families. This was a great practical help and source of relief for the pets\u2019 original owners.<\/p>\n

The Violetta Caprotti Foundation supports the Leidaa Association in safeguarding the environment and protecting animals. Founded and chaired by Michela Vittoria Brambilla, Leidaa also campaigns for animals to be legally recognised as sentient beings, creatures that feel affection and are not merely the property of their owners, under the Italian Constitution.<\/p>\n

No Dogs Left Behind<\/h2>\n

The personal commitment made by the association\u2019s members and its founder to save dogs and find them a loving family is a sign of great love and humanity: dogs bring people joy. <\/p>\n

In 2021 the Violetta Caprotti Foundation supported No Dogs Left Behind, a US association that works in the field, particularly in China, campaigning against the dog meat market and the illegal trade in dogs. Every year, the founder, Jeff, and his volunteers risk their lives by travelling to China to save dogs, freeing them from their cages. The dogs are then moved to temporary refuges before being taken to the United States, where a welcoming team has been hard at work: when a dog arrives, there is already a family waiting to adopt it. The association also vaccinates every dog and gives it medical care.<\/p>\n

No Dogs Left Behind partners with activists in China, and is organising an awareness campaign to teach young Chinese people that dogs are friends rather than food. Their work in China takes place at different times over the year, not only during the annual Yulin festival, when it is estimated that 10,000 dogs are killed and eaten.<\/p>\n

Interacting<\/span> with an animal can have a positive impact, sometimes instantly, for people going through negative emotional experiences such as serious illness or depression.<\/p>\n

The Violetta Caprotti Foundation has always believed that animals play a fundamental role in all of our lives. Drawing on this principle, the Foundation sponsors We will care Onlus, <\/b>the charity founded in 2016 to provide psychological support for people experiencing emotional distress, as well as those closest to them, such as family members and caregivers. Over the years, it has carried out research and provided psychological care to help people going through serious illness with their emotional recovery. Its most recent project, which the Foundation is supporting, explores the benefits of a long-lasting relationship with a pet, particularly dogs, on people dealing with stress and negative emotions.<\/p>\n

The importance of the pet experience means bringing disabled children into contact with dogs and horses, giving their families respite and providing youngsters with hours of fun, learning and sport, making sure no one ever feels excluded.<\/p>\n

In 2021 the Violetta Caprotti Foundation was among the earliest supporters of \u201cLe Cannigge\u201d, an amateur sports and social inclusion association. The heart of the project, founded and based in Italy\u2019s Marche region, lies in combining sports (horse riding and sailing) with support for disabled youngsters and their families.<\/p>\n

Like animals,<\/i> children are the most fragile of all. There are many ways we can help and support them. Tangible help – which children can feel – is the best of all. True help. Help they can see. The true one. The one you can see. <\/p>\n

The Violetta Caprotti Foundation<\/span> <\/b><\/span>has funded a children\u2019s project<\/span> at the Don Bosco Catholic School inGambella, western Ethiopia. It has bought a <\/span>school bus<\/span> to take children to and from school, provided desks and classroom furnishings and funded a new outdoor playground at the Don Bosco Catholic School. The project was inspired by an Italian Salesian priest who works tirelessly in the area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vexillum Foundation<\/h2>\n

Help young people in need in their studies and training journey.
The Violetta Caprotti Foundation supports the Vexillum Foundation as part of the International Vexillum Prize, named after Giuseppe Sciacca, a generous and rigorous architecture student who died prematurely. In this context, financial subsidies are provided to support underprivileged children in order to facilitate their training and meet other personal needs related to this.<\/p>\n

The Violetta Caprotti Foundation shares the initiatives of the Vexillum Foundation, dedicated to charitable works in different areas of the world, social solidarity and cultural promotion.<\/p>\n

Ensuring the right of the most vulnerable children to food and education means giving these children a chance for their future.<\/p>\n

Since 2023, the Violetta Caprotti Foundation, has supported MAP (Monaco Aide & Pr\u00e9sence), an organization founded in 1979 dedicated to development and humanitarian assistance, under the honorary presidency of Albert II. Their lines of action are: education, health, community development and emergency response. They have a presence on all continents.<\/p>\n

In Ethiopia, the Foundation constructed a classroom at the Mendida Center, and supported the Nutrition Program, Debre Berhan, which ensured the nutrition of 620 kindergarten and elementary school students, providing a full breakfast and lunch for all pupils.
\nIn Nepal, it funded the “scholarship” project ensuring full education for 30 children and youth, and in Madagascar, it supported a nutrition program for 1.000 students.<\/p>\n
